Your experience starts by walk into the woodland to a clearing called the Shiel, which enjoys dappled shade with the Pease Burn bubbling through and a shelter milled from our logs on site .

Enjoy a wild refreshment and an introduction from our woodsman on the history and ongoing management of the woodland.

Following this you will go on a Woodland Forage and discover the flora and fauna that dwells in the woodland notable bat and tree-nesting bird populations along with other diverse flora and fauna, with over 36 protected species in residence.

Returning to the Shiel you will be welcomed with a three-course lunch cooked over our own sycamore charcoal and open fires. The ingredients are sustainably sourced from the woodland or from neighbours no further than 15 miles away. Drinks, including foraged tea and cordials, are provided and you are welcome to bring your own alcohol.
