Meet the Team
Heddy - owner and woodsman
Heddy has owned Bowshiel for two decades.  He is a former submariner, diver and diplomat who now works as a consultant in international affairs and lectures part time. His passion is trees - he has personally planted 10,000s.  He also likes an engineering challenge (like his 67-year-old Landrover!) and making things from wood
Hector - woodland manager and pipe major
Hecky does most of the work.  He's currently studying agriculture at Scotland's Rural College (SRUC).  He spends his weekends and holidays helping out at Bowshiel - when he's not lambing, chicken farming, harvesting, playing cricket, piping or just has a better offer from someone else.  He loves tractors, beer and venison kebabs
Georgina - events and experiences
George has transitioned from art dealer to game lodge manager in Africa to working for one of London's largest venue operators. She was listed in Events Magazine's top 50 events professionals and has also featured in Harper's Bazar and In Style. She runs Bowshiel's Forest Feasts and Experiences
Pepper - guest relations officer
Although not technically qualified in guest relations, Pepper has spent a large part of her career meeting people with an unparalleled enthusiasm - whether they like it or not...  She is also something of a cheese connoisseur (in moderation) - a passion she shares with Heddy (not in moderation)
Dorothy - logistics
Dorothy is 67 and semi-retired. She's had a transplant from a Discovery, so hopefully has another 70 years in her. She still moves most of the people, timber, trees and other stuff around the woodland. She likes being knocked with a hammer every now and then to keep her going...
